Our Commitment to Sustainability

At Taylor King, we’re committed to sustainable practices that will benefit our partners, our people, and our planet. We take pride in our continuous efforts to create eco-friendly furnishings. Every phase of our manufacturing process from suppliers to our individual craftsmanship has an emphasis on the use of sustainable elements and waste reduction.

Recycled Metal Components

All of our springs are made of at least 95% recycled steel and are lead-free. All metals used in our bands, nails and staples are from recycled materials.

Compliant Adhesives

The glue used in our manufacturing process meets TSCA Title VI Formaldehyde Emission standards for composite wood products and is 175.105 FDA compliant.

Foam and Natural Fibers

All of Taylor King’s foam products are certified by CertiPur-US®. To hold this certification, all material must meet the extensive CertiPur-US® standards for content, emissions, and durability and is analyzed by independent accredited testing laboratories.

Recyclable virgin staple polyester fiber is used and is not treated with any chemicals.

All down and feather products are RDS (Responsible Down Standard) certified and are all-natural by-products.

Sustainable Lumber

All lumber is purchased from sustainably certified vendors. No chemicals are used in processing our lumber.

Responsible Wood Finishing

All products used for finishing are formaldehyde-free and regulation compliant.

Energy Efficient Lighting

Our lighting in our factory and offices have all been upgraded to LED lighting to reduce our electricity usage.

Recyclable Waste

We always look at manners to recycle our waste. Cardboard boxes, plastic, and even the cardboard tubes that are in the middle of our fabric rolls are recycled. Our wood scraps and saw dust is also repurposed for many uses.

Natural & Recycled Fabrics

Many of our fabrics are made of 100% natural cotton, wool or linen. Several also contain recycled polyester and/or recycled cotton fiber.

We are pleased to offer a large selection of InsideOut Performance Fabrics® which feature OEKO-TEX certified yards that are made from marine litter collected by SEAQUAL INITIATIVE. For more information, please visit SEAQUAL INITIATIVE's website at www.seaqual.org.
